When you sit down, sit slightly back on your sitting bones to relieve strain. A common cause of low back muscle pain is unduly arching your lower back.

Relieving Muscle Pain with the Alexander Technique

  • The Technique will teach you to consciously release tense muscles. It’s important to improve your posture and this will help you perform daily activities with a degree of calm and confidence.
  • Through one-to-one lessons, you will learn how to manage the stress and physical strains of modern living.
  • Every lesson you take will be tailored to your individual needs. You remain fully clothed throughout the session. Comfortable attire is recommended.

The Alexander Technique will equip you with the awareness and skills to overcome physical strain and stress that may be the cause of muscle pain. Keep in mind that it is not an exercise regime or a therapy but is more an opportunity to handle muscle tension.
