By gentle hands on guidance and verbal explanation tense muscles are released, this allows the body to lengthen up to its full height. Round shoulders are eased out in the same way. A person is then guided in how to sit, stand, walk and perform daily activities without strain. During lessons people discover a new ease of movement and increased energy. They may even gain as much as an inch in height as their spines become less compressed. The overall effect is a sense of lightness and ease.
Lessons in the Alexander Technique are relaxing and energising and are tailored to individual needs. You remain fully clothed throughout the lesson. Comfortable attire is recommended.
